Supplemental Educational Services (SES)

Eligible students may qualify for our Supplemental Educational Services (SES) program. Low-income families may be able to enroll their children in supplemental educational services if their child attends a Title 1 school that has been designated as "in need of improvement" for more than two years.

The term "supplemental educational services" refers to FREE, extra, academic help - such as tutoring or remedial help -  that is provided to students in subjects such as reading, language arts, and math. This extra help can be provided before or after school, on weekends, or in the summer.

Determined by your child's school district, supplemental educational services can be provided at your child's school and at other community locations such as libraries, community centers and churches. Certain districts also permit convenient in-home tutoring when an adult guardian is present during the duration of the tutoring session.

Bright Light Education is an approved Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provider in certain states. Parents of eligible students can choose any approved SES provider in their state that provides services in their child's school district.
